Watching the meter run backwards is quite satisfying, as is the credit we get from the power company (which we apply to the winter months when production drops). We also get quarterly checks from various other states that buy green energy credits. Even though panel prices have dropped since installation we still expect it to pay for itself within about 8 years (better than letting $ sit in the bank)."
