Apr 10_Sufi Festival with 60.000 people from various religions in Hajipir
Thanks to the kind support of the head of the Bhuj Bus Depot, we finally managed to get motor bikes to leave for Hajipir well after noon. Thousands of others soon joined us on, first on a major highway, then on a dust track into the desert. Full, fuller, fullest - let the pictures do the talking. But believe it or not, not a soul got upset over the traffic jams, their thirst or hunger as they were stuck or the desert dirt all over their faces and bodies. Same scene at the actual festival with 60.000 people joining for a day/night of riding carousels, listening to Sufi music, eating loads of food and yes, some of them did visit the shrine as well.
