1940 Chevy June 12-2010 Not many days to get it road worthy
" and here I'm thinking "Maybe I should take a minute and cut the grass?". (not too bloody likely)
New master cylinder and disc/disc combination valve (combi valve leaked too....had to use parts from the old one after the manufacturer wouldn't come good on it)
June 21, if you look close, I'm gouging out the frame behind the steering box to provide clearance for the shaft and u-joints. I didn't really know how this was going to fit till the cab came back from the paint shop.
Custom steel bed bottom ( wood looks nice, but I do live on the WET COAST) Soaked the wood mounting blocks in preservative....(last ones were still good after 60+ years)
Bed floor in for the 27th time........
This is a bed and cab dolly that I built from plans found on the Stovebolt Page. I built two, and they have been invaluable..

My better half helping to lay the B-Quiet sound deadener.
1940 Chevy - Centech wire harness for dash gauges....sure made life easier. I would recommend it to anyone...much better than hard wiring the gauges in the dash.
spaghetti?????????????????? sure felt like it at times
1940 Chevy - looking like it got a bucket of spaghetti poured on it with all those wires.
1940 Chevy - looking just a lil helpless without its wheels. This was apart for its inspection, turns out it needed new rear brake rotors and pads,(2 mm under) all else was good to go.....
First venture out under its own steam ( steering, brakes and power) Yahoo......
the vehicle inspection is passed, now off for the LPG certification. Had to up size tank bolts and add heat shield along frame to pass.......home from initial trip by 10:30 a.m. finish upgrades and back to the garage by 1:30 p.m., where I got a pass for certification....whew! Thanks for the lift Willy!
