Test Picture using new 2 gig card....my cubemate, Dingo.
The view from the Beachhouse in the morning
Take two from the Beachhouse
Stefan organizing his bag, last minute checkups!
Roberto flashing a big one for the cammy =)
Dick & Lisa contemplating the ride post breakfast
Mike not contemplating much besides his yogurt.
Donna doing last minute dishes.
Restroom break at a State Park, barely two miles from the cars
Roberto got a flat! How many google engineers does it take to fix a flat?
Pre-ride picture, the tandem twins
Back on the road again!
Roberto flashing another big one!
Tandem Power!
Backside of Tandem Power I guess...
Cloudy overcast day, but the views of the ocean is still great.
Riders pulling in
Tandem with a good view in the background
Yet another mechanical problem
More views of the coast.
Yet another pic of everyone
My bike, fully decked out
First of many beautiful bridges...fog is rolling in.
Stephan and the bridge.
Roberto always flashes big smiles =)
Closeup of the Pretty Bridge
A backview of the coast, you can see it clearing up now
Man, what a ton of fog, i had to turn on my backlight here.
uhm yah, you can't see very far into the fog =)
uh-huh, windy and foggy...great..
Point Sur Light house...you can't see it from here..but its really pretty all the same.
Lunch Spot!!! This is Mile 25
A pride of bikes? A pack of bikes? A collapse of bikes?
Majestic trees..well, its kinda spindly..
BLUE SKIES!! AT LAST!
Burrito and jalapeno chips...it might not look it, but the burrito was HUGE.
After the burrito buster of a climb, you are rewarded by this view...
Can't see the blue ocean...didn't set it right...
You can see the road we just climbed on the right, and a view of what we saw as we climbed.
Sparkling waters.....
Fog and Blue sky and blue ocean and green shrubs, all in the same shot. =)
Stephan as he rolls in...
Celebrating as he rolls in =)
A lone rock surrounded by gorgeous water
Almost a postcard quality picture, spoiled only by the foreground =)
See what I mean? =p
Beautiful flowers on green pasture, ocean filled horizon
Random picture of the road.
Its really hard to take a bad pic even when you're being random.
No really, the view kinda makes it a good pic, no framing needed.
At the destination! Mile 50...
The Cottage where we'll be staying at
Celebratory beer! I mean, energy drink...
la la la, i've yet to take a bad pic yet and it has nothing to do with my lack of photo taking prowress.
View of the store and restaurant from the cabins.
Me enjoying my energy drink
My energy drink on the much graffiti bench.
mmm..rocks in the ocean...
gwah, i could stare at this forever.
booo! no sunset thanks to the fog rolling in...you can see where the sun is shining through breaks in the fog from the lighted spots on the ocean.
Dinner time....
Stephan enjoying his energy drink, code red.
Twilight View of the Coast.
You can see that its really grainy...not a very good camera, no tripod, blah blah blah.
Off the horizon on the twilight.
Now the fog really rolls in, this is as close to a sunset as it gets, boys and girls.
Morning view...gorgeous fog.
Sun's bright and up already!
More early morning fog...away from the sun, its not as special =)
Into the sun, everything else is darkened, but the fog looks nice.
Quite possibly the best blend of the two =p
Morning breakfast with aforementioned views.
A pre-ride day 2 picture.
Oh yah, you don't want to drop down there....
Stephan wanted this because he thought it looks cool, not going to disagree!
A better pic where you can see the end of the line...that's SLO at the very end I think, or maybe pismo.
From our vantage point at one point of our climb....this is about 1/4 of the way up 2630 feet.
Mike as he passes
Stephan as he rolls up
Roberto as he comes up...
It looks a lot better w/o me in the pic honestly =)
Yah, ditto that here too . =p
See what I mean? =)
The peak! but not where we're headed towards fortunately!
You can see the road where we just climbed up
More views of the road...
You can just get a peak of the ocean as we move away from it =(
And here we are, into the inland shrubbery empire..
More shrubberies, but so green...soon they'll be yellowed.
Mike being his stoic quiet self =)
Yes, today is google bike jersey day...
My bro & lisa coming up finally =)
One last pic of the coast...
Mike, standing tall!
Me, taking up way too much foreground
pretty flowerssssss
Roberto! with jersey wide open!
8 miles to the bottom!
Denise & larry, who just came up from Hunter-Lidgett.
In Hunter-Lidgett, I'm not supposed to take pictures, but couldn't help it. Its dark because something was burning.
You can see the tank in the background
Not too sure what picture I was taking..but oh well.
Stephan looking ready to kill the headwind.
30mph headwind, not fun for anyone!
This is Day 3 Already.
Taking a break post bridge, little did we know we would have passed our last chance for water.
Bright blue skies, and a mild headwind.
Once again, another mechanical, this time on Mike's bike.
A quick stop before our climb....little did we know we'd run out of water after the climb.
Top of the climb, almost out of water, had to beg for some...
Not a very scenic view from the top really.
Stephan trying to find a convenient watering spot.
Almost at the lunch spot, here's a cute horsey.
More horseys.
At the end of the ride! You can tell day 3 sucked by the # of pictures I didn't take.
Post picture of everyone.
Mike looking like he's ready for another 50 miles.
Today is throwback google jersey day I guess.
Roberto and Stephan, ready to go home after 170 miles =)
