This excellent map (source: masterlyinactivity.com) shows the trajectory we were to follow: a travel through kinnaur and spiti valley of Himachal Pradesh. The Dasara and Gandhi Jayanti holidays in a week provided an opportunity to enjoy a 9-day long tour just by applying for 3 days leave. The route was Delhi - Shimla - Sarahan - Sangla - (Chitkul) - Kalpa - (Nako) - Tabo - (Dhankar) - Kaza - (Kunzum pass) - (Rohtang pass) - Manali - Delhi.
