Great days in Paris with Chris Oakes as my tour guide...thanks, Chris!
Took the metro trains to see the sights, the Modern Art Museum and Eiffel Tower, beer at an outdoor cafe and people watched.
Walked along the Seine to the Musée Marmottan-Monet, metro to the Montmartre district and the Moulon Rouge, hiked to the summit of Montmartre (highest point in the city), the Basilique du Sacré-Cœur and panaramic views of Paris. Had Nicoise salad and bottle of Cote d'Or wine served by a busty waitress! Dessert at a gelato stand, then home.
Next day, coffee at cafe with Chris, then off on my own to the fabulous bead store, Notre Dame, Latin Quarter, Luxemburg Gardens, Museum dOrsey, homemade sushi at Martine's, amusement park by the Louvre with Chris and Martine's grandson Dean.
Chris and I took in modern art at the Pompidou and dined at a French Bistro.
Cafe crepes and omelette with Chris, then the bullet train back to Geneva.
Paris is a very lively city, lots to see and do!
