Darrell Bolin Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania "Hotel Workers on Strike" Acrylics 24X18" $500 "Hotel Workers on Strike represents the activities of hotel employees rallying on a street in downtown Pittsburgh, PA. Street art provides an ideal vehicle to capture the activity of everyday life in the city. This piece achieves that by manipulating elements found in graffiti to represent the observations of that day." 110 Kenmore St., Pittsburgh, PA, 15106 http://bit.ly/dbolinartinc
Michael Borek Bethesda, Maryland "Philly Saves Scranton" Archival Inkjet 40X30" $845 "This is a picture from my new project, which was shot in an abandoned lace factory in Scranton, Pennsylvania, where the poetry of the Nottingham looms from the first decade of the 20th century meets the spray-can-wielding raiders from the first decade of the 21st century." 6212 Ridge Drive, Bethesda, MD, 20816 www.michaelborek.com

James Crable Harrisonburg, Virginia "Chinatown: Allen St, NY, NY" Digital Photo Composite 32.5X35" $600 "My photographs are motivated by an interest in both visual structure and human content. I am intrigued by the way certain structures create a seemingly theatrical background for all manner of passersby. The pervasive human presence relates directly to the shaded rhythms one finds in stonework, walls and corridors. In my composite, Chinatown, New York, NY, graffiti creates the rhythmic background." 261 Green St., Harrisonburg, VA, 22802 www.jamescrable.com
Zsuzsi CsiszerBudapest, Hungary"Figyelo"Paper and Oil on Canvas120X150 CMPOR"The inscriptions are additional layers of the pictures. They are always visible. I made a pattern for them so that they unite the information they convey in each picture. As if I was creating and artificial wall, where they used to stick posters, ads, all kinds of paper, then a graffiti artist came and put his own message across the whole surface. The message always shows my attitude to the particular work."

Renee DeChristopher Midlothian, Virginia "Haight Markings" Mixed Media Triptych: original photographs, wax, oils, graphite & other organic materials on wood 36X12" $930 It is common practice for a street artist to mark and create over another artist’s work. This apparent disregard for each other’s creation is in keeping with the transient, defacing nature of graffiti and ironically, the most basic law of life – impermanence. I am beguiled by art expressed in this immediate, energetic & public form and by the cycle of decay, degeneration and erasure that occurs to it over time. This triptych pays homage to the street art discovered in the Haight/Ashbury area of San Francisco. My focus was to capture the essence of the vibrant graffiti found there on corroding walls as well as the shifting vitality of a place that has a history of supporting controversial social movements and artistic experimentation.

Wendy DesChene Toronto, Canada "Met Label Project" Stickers re-creating information labels at the Met and placed beside graffiti in Paris France. 12 pieces 8X12" $80 each "In retaliation to a 'no sketching' policy at a Met exhibition I copied the label information onto stickers and exported them, echoing the Met’s own practice of importing property questionably. Placing these stickers beside Graffiti provided an exchange of ideas without boundaries, something that the museum was unable to provide." http://www.wendydeschene.com
Marcia Douglas Seattle, Washington "Non si puo fare!" Monotype with Chine Colle 12X16" $650 "Inspired by a trip to Florence, Italy in 2010, where street art - graffiti and posters - abound. They were being held as prisoners either because they lost their nerve and deserted from the front or had been arrested for other offenses.
