Children's Book Tent in Nsinze and Meet Your Writers in Nkozi University
The Children's Book Tent was one of the activities to celebrate international mother tongue day. 360 pupils and 30 teachers in Namutumba district were brought together to read and write. This literacy drive was supported by the National Book Trust (NABOTU) and Uganda
Library and Information Association (ULIA). It was hosted by Mpolyabigere RC RICED Center, an organisation started to promote Local / Lusoga Language Eduction and Development (LLEAD). In collaboration, the "Meet Your Writers" project in Nkozi University is a PEN Uganda project intended to recruit more members into the association while exposing their works to the readers.
