NEORSD Tour, Easterly Wastewater Treatment Plant
Unfortunately, I did not take notes on all of the aspects of this tour. There was a LOT. All of it very interesting, and I was frequently lagging behind our guides. Fortunately, they had a very nice portable public address system, and they were VERY accommodating. I can't say enough good things about them.
The plant and personnel was very impressive. Much of the architecture is from the late 40 and early 50's; WPA projects. The workmanship of the older buildings, and the condition in which they have been kept, is amazing. Absolutely amazing. Every corner has a picture; the tile & stonework, the masonry, the electrical "stuff" and the plumbing. Simply amazing.
I'll go back again next year, and I highly recommend it.
