Jamshed Nasiri:-JAMSHED NASIRI was the coach of Mohammedan Sporting. Nasiri’s nomination was warmly welcomed by the club’s fervent supporters. Majid Bashkar and Jamshed Nasiri are the two Iranian players whom the Club and its admirers can never forget for their decisive goals which led to two successive victories in the Federation Cup 1983 and 1984. Earlier Nasiri had served as coach but left the Club under unfavourable circumstances.

A Book containing the glorious part of the history of Mohammedan Sporting Club both Kolkata,India and Dhaka, Bangladesh titles " LAKHO SELAM MOHAMMEDAN". has been release today at Calcutta Sports Journalists Club premises.
The said book is written by Himansu Chattopadhyaya, an editor of "PROSAD" Patrika,Kolkata after a research work of more than twenty years regarding two Giant Football Clubs of India and Bangladesh.
Today Kolkata Mohammedan S.C Secretary and Union Minister Sultan Ahmed inaugurated the Book. Mr. Jamiluddin (Secretary Mohammedan S.C), Mr. Sunil Thakur, Syed Naimuddin, Amal Dutta, Utpal Ganguly(Seretary IFA),S. Khonhokar(Deputi High Commissioner of Bangladesh) and mamy other eminent personalities who were present in the occasion.
That the book will also be released in Dhaka within a few months, where the higher officials of Dhaka Mohammedan Sporting, Sports Journalists and other Football stars of Bangladesh will be present.

Mohammedan Sporting Club on Saturday honoured one of its illustrious players, Mohammad Habib, for his contribution to the game of football by conferring him with the lifetime achievement award.
Habib, who also played for Mohun Bagan and East Bengal in the 1970s and early 80s, received Rs. 2 lakh and mementoes from State Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee.
“I am absolutely elated,'' gushed Habib. “I played for the other two big clubs but they never thought of honouring me this way. I am really indebted to Mohammedan Sporting for recognising my services,'' he said after the function.
The club, whose president is Union Minister Sultan Ahmed, also honoured Ms. Banerjee by making her a life member of the club.
