This is my dive boat for the weekend.
Thai tradition requires fireworks to be lit at the beginning of a trip to get rid of bad luck.
Getting rid of the bad luck.
I think we got rid of it all.
This small innocent looking chunk of rock is the pinnacle of Hin Daeng...and the top of the most amazing diving I have ever done.
We got up about an hour earlier than most other dive boats...so right when we were done with our dive the other liveaboards showed up to dive with each other. Very nice.
Two of the divers. They were from London. They were very nice. They were very effeminate. This did not change under water.
Lunch time.
In the middle of nowhere.
Gone fishin.
The bow of the boat (or is it the stern of the boat?). Who cares....it looked cool.
Again.
Plan for the first day. We had 5 large Austrians on board....so instead of 'movie' it should have said 'Heineken'.
The boat.
Many many islands.
Small boat. Big cliff.
Time to dive.
Lightning storm in the distance at night.
Still fishin.
We anchored just a bit off of where 'The Beach' was filmed.
The two islands off of Phi Phi that we dived at.
For some reason I have a ton of pictures with small boats and islands.
Lots of colors in the evening.
Life boat.
Sunset.
The roof of the boat is called the 'grill deck'. I did not spend much time up there. I like to keep myself medium rare.
