Perjalanan ke Sheffield melalui Peak Disctrict telah menemukan kami dengan salji. Walaupun tak banyak tapi sudah cukup menceriakan hati. Sampai di Sheffield, sempat solat Zohor dan Asar di University Union tapi tidak ada gambar sempat diabadikan kerana hujan turun tidak henti-henti. Terlalu banyak perubahan dan pembangunan di Bandar Sheffield menyebabkan kami sesat beberapa kali dan tak banyak tempat sempat dilawati.

200710#14_Visit to Lake District

Lake District is the biggest lake in England and is very famous with its beautiful scenery. Situated North of Lancaster, the journey took less than 2 hours. However, due to some problems in getting the car (hired from Enterprise.com), we departed 12.00 noon and therefore not so much time left to explore the entire Lake District coz as the winter approaches, the day become shorter. Despite all those, we managed to explore a few places includes Windemere, Kendal and Grange-over-Sands, but mainly stay in the car due to raining outside.

Kami di Manchester, UK merayakan Aidilfitri pada hari Jumaat,12 Oct 2007. Oleh kerana ini merupakan raya yang pertama dan jugak yang terakhir kami di UK kerana masters program cuma setahun, kami memaksakan diri untuk ponteng kelas pagi untuk menghadiri acara Solat Aidilfitri beramai-ramai yang dianjurkan oleh MCCH di Cheetham Hill Community School. Oleh kerana semua orang menjangkakan hari raya jatuh pada hari Sabtu, kami tak sempat membuat persediaan, cuma sempat masak rendang dan nasi himpit sahaja.

Majlis berbuka puasa anjuran MCCH: Malaysia Community of Cheetham Hill. MCCH ni adalah persatuan yang menjaga kebajikan komuniti Malaysia di sini. Ada lebih kurang 70-80 keluarga Malaysia di sini, sama ada yang belajar dan bekerja. Kebanyakkan student yang berkeluarga tinggal di Cheetham Hill (majority postgrad) dan yang bujang (undergrad) tu banyak menyewa di Old Traffod.
