The University of Manchester#Date: 01-04 October, 2007#Location: Along coastal line of North Sea, Northeast England (Scarborough / Whitby / Hundale, Yorkshire)#Weather: Windy with 15 degree C#Aims: Petroleum system elements (source rock, trap, reservoir and seal rock)#Geological age: Jurassic, mostly Middle Jurassic (Bajocian)#Lithology: Sedimentary deposits from massive sandstone, and black mudstones#
Enviroments: Gradually changes from shallow marine, deltaic to fluvial#Challenges: Fasting month (dahaga betul...makanan halal susah), cold, >5km walking, overhang cliff (falling rocks), pebbly beach, slippery rocks, tidal current & doogie (lecturer punya...ada ke bawa anjing pegi field work!!!!)#Geological Interest: Amazing outcrops, clear sedimentary structures, fossils, depositional enviroment from shallow marine to fluvial, complete petroleum system packages....I should come back....
