A first birthday party

We received the (verbal) invitation to attend Son, Ji Young's first birthday just a few days after sending John's suit, ties and formal shirts back to Australia. It was quite a spectaclular event and most guests handed Mr Son (Ji Young's father) envelopes containing money rather than other gifts. The first birthday is an important family occasion, for reasons as yet unclear to us.

Ichon Ceramics Village, Seoul Grand Park and snow in Autumn

We spent almost 2 days at the Ceramics Village (about 100 shops exclusively selling pottery) in Ichon and then took most of these photos at the zoo and park complex called Seoul Grand Park. With daily maximum tempertaures around 4 degrees it was quite cold.

Autumn has come

It is now Autumn in South Korea. Summer is very green, it is the rainy season, then in Autum things change to yellow, red then brown ready for winter.
