The biggest SURPRISE of the night was when I walked towards Kurt with our 6 month old grand-daughter, Lucy. He was so confused. Then he realized that ALL our children were around. We timed their arrival so that they got home about 40 minutes after the party started. They all flew down from SLC, Utah taking time off their busy schedules being students at BYU.
Kurt's wonderful co-workers. It was a crazy, hectic day for them since we MOVED to our brand new office building this SAME day! They were exhausted but had enough energy for merrymaking.
My step-sister-in-law and step-brother, stepfather and mama. My mama and Ruben drove all the way from San Diego, CA to celebrate. They said they just wouldn't miss Kurt's 50th for anything! They ADORE him.

We had ordered these wonderful cakes from Layers Bakery. ONe was a raspberry-white chocolate cake and the other, a caramel chocolate chip cake. YUM.
