Ernie's 1967 Sunbeam Readied for the Herr's Car show. A sight never seen by me (at least since 1975) the top is DOWN.
We found the boot inside the back area for the top. Note our license plate commerating Ernie.
Looks like a picture for the brochure in 1967 - yes?
Same show a little further back.
Looks good with the top down and YES - it's really been cleaned to the max!
Front view including Rootes Trophie badging.
The sun was so bright it looks a different color from this side.
It glissens!
Right rear view - looks good with the top down for once.
You can see the boot here - I think it's one of the first times it has been installed.
Just a great shot of a 1967 Alpine Sunbeam - Ernie's smiling now!
The boot - with a little Armorall - shines like new - and in fact - it is new - circa 1967!
I moved it out of the sun for some special shots to 2 red cars. Who is the old guy driving?
Two red cars 40 years apart.
Get out and don't hit the other door!
Two red cars 40 years apart. Left 1967 sunbeam, Right 2007 Corvette. BOTH are part of our fleet and both tops go down and the price goes up!
A little closer view.
We finally made it to Herr's about 25 miles one way. I think this is the longest trip the Sunbeam had ever made to my memory since 1975. It ran perfect all the way! YES - we drove it on the road!!
Penny is guarding from the back and I'm looking for someone?
Penny and I admiring the beauty of the Sunbeam in the sunset at the Herr's event - over 500 cars attended.
Penny always takes a shot of Edward and I at the shows. clarke was there to but escaped before the camera came out.
A second shot at the end of the show before heading home.
