Close-up of Name / Hailing Port

Dall's Porpoises playing with me
Evening of 10/24/2007 - view looking aft. Note the wind streaks on the water, I think this was probably about 25-30 knots of wind.
Running at 8 knots under reefed main only
Getting ugly out there - 5:18 PM on Wednesday 10/24. Blowing about 25-30 knots.
Sunrise 10/25/2007 near Bodega Bay. Wind/waves still big, but somehow much tamer when you can see 'em.
I had the main reefed to this level all night Wed-Thurs am. Gusts up to 50 knots were no problem.
Good idea of the size of the swells - not horrendous (probably 10-12 feet). I'm in a trough here, looking south towards Point Reyes.
Looking at the next 10-footer about to roll under the boat
Sailing out of Drake's Bay under yankee only - 7.5 knots in a 15-20 knot breeze.
7.64 knots of boat speed, 7.5 knots of *relative* wind speed (basically, add the relative wind to boat speed = 15 knots of actual wind)
