Panels with the watercolor paper and some collaged found papers mounted to boards as base for encaustic paintings
Panels up on the painting ws so I can make gestural marks with charcoal and set up some kind of place to start and organize the painting process.
Hummm...actually cleaned up some of my painting table mess to have room to work.
Moved old wooden drawing table into wax station room to be able to apply a layer of plain beeswax to the papers.
Starting the wax lay down of first layer. It's not important that the charcoal smears some...that's the way I like to work anyway.
FINALLY......have a layer down...back to the painting wall in the next room so I can get back from it awhile...also rest my poor neck.
Close up...more wax in some areas..this will all even out as time goes on. Now on to fusing this first layer and back another day to figure out where I'm going next.
