On Saturday we took the train from Delft to the Hague, about a 10 minute trip! These houses we pass on the way to the train station. We mainly went there to view the Maurtishuis Museum, and see 5 more Vermeer paintings!
Ready to hop on the train to the Hague.
Here we are in the Hague (Den Haag)
There are ravens all over Europe, here is a cool structure of one in a park in the Hague

An important Hague old-timer!! (I am losing track of who these guys are!)
Also can't remember, but a cute statue nonetheless!
Looking across the water to the the government buildings, next to the Mauritshuis
The Mauritshuis Museum, and probably the main attraction - Vermeer's "Girl with a Pearl Earring". No photos allowed inside, but again just seeing the 5 Vermeer paintings was worth it no matter what! Also saw beautiful Rubens, Rembrandts and more.
Outside the museum, a neat way of family biking!

I bought a piece of Delftware from this lady - she learned the art from her dad, and they own this shop on the market. Fascinating history of the beautiful blue and white porcelein!

Big blue bulbs (?) on a street corner!
End of the day in the flower market - this seller was offering bunches of roses for the equivalent of $5. Flowers are so much cheaper over here!
Back at our next door restaurant for one last meal!
The chef was our waiter until his daughter arrived!
Stuffed mushrooms - good!
Clever way of presenting the bill!
Another stage for the Jazz Festival was here in the square outside of our hotel.

Here I am in front of the Delftware shop. We loved this little town, the canals and houses and of course the fact that Vermeer lived here all of his 36 years was what made it even more special.
