2008 - July Death Hollow

Space, Ken, and I hiked into Death Hollow, starting at about 11PM on Friday the 18th and hiked back out again on Monday evening. We had perfect weather; hot during the days so we could swim, and cool hiking in the evenings.

2007 Night Hike On The Boulder Mail Trail

We started this hike at about 11PM Thursday night, coming back out on Sunday. The moonlight hiking was great, both for the atmosphere and temperature - it actually took us quite a bit longer coming out in the daylight than going in.

2007 Twin Peaks

I hiked to Broads Fork Twin Peaks via the Robinson couloir, then up the North ridge. It took me about 9 hours round trip, with lots of little breaks and about an hour at the top. As usual, more detail can be seen if you maximize your brower, hit F11 to go full screen, then click slideshow.

Lake Blanche & Environs

These pictures were taken over two trips, trying to get up to Superior Peak. After leaving the Lake Blanche area, the 'trail' was either on rock or via a long goat trail. As always, these are best viewed via the slideshow option.

2007 May Boulder Mail Trail

This was a two day, 26 mile hike on and around the Boulder Mail Trail, which runs between Boulder Utah and Escalante Utah. The pictures here are relatively big, so are best viewed by using the slide show feature at full screen.

April 2007 Hiking Trip

On these eight days we started in the Goblin Valley area, winding up in Zion National Park. In between we hiked in Capitol Reef National Park and the Grand Staircase Escalante National Monument. We hiked for a total of 64 miles, the longest day was 16 miles and the shortest 4.

Canyonlands - Needles - February 2007

Two night backpack, February 17th & 18th in the Needles area of Canyonlands. We stayed in CP1, or the first Chessler Park campspot and daytripped one day from there. While there, we hiked for a total of 18 miles, barely scratching the surface on what the Needles has to offer.
