Diego's nursery is finally (99%) done! We love this room and are so pleased with how it turned out. My favorite thing about the room is that nearly everything was made by, created by, or found by a loved one. It was hard to find decor in black, white and yellow, so we really had to creative and so many friends and family contributed to the final look. It's so fun to look around the room and have each piece remind you of someone special.
The bedding was handmade by Dede, Branden's mom, and Jeannie, a close family friend. The black and white storage boxes were found by my mom and are perfect for hiding all the little baby things we need but don't want to see!
The border around the room looks hand-painted but is actually a series of removable decals. My mom found these and I love them! They really complete the room. The photos above the crib are of our parents and siblings. I covered the photo mats in various yellow and white patterned papers.
The reading "nook" - a little corner of the room dedicated to together time. The pillow and quilt on the rocker were made by my sister and the frame of baby photos was put together by our friend, Amy.
The bookshelves were refinished by my dad to match the room and the books were given to us from all of our family and friends. It is great to have a library of favorites from our loved ones!
The rocker was hand-painted by Debi, a family friend, and the rug was a gift from my friends, Katie and Lindsay.
The mobile was handmade in Wisconsin and was a gift from our friends, Cathy and Casey.
We changed out all of the knobs and pulls on the furniture, using black and white patterned ones in lieu of the white. I love this little detail!
