March for Life 2008
Absolutely the most under-reported national event each year! Where else could a few hundred thousand young people - 80% under 25 - gather in the freezing cold for a political event and be so e Mainstream Media studiously ignore them? As a former radical leftist/abortion rights activist, I attended scores of demonstrations in Washington, DC. Now, having undergone a change of heart, I'm grateful for the opportunity to join in an event based on affirming the value of human life. As one sign I spotted said, quoting Seuss's Horton: "A person's a person, no matter how small." For those who'd love to be at the march but can't be, I've tried to provide an overview - with portraits and crowd scenes - to show you what it's like. Click to view as a slideshow.
