OSWB One day Update on Glaucoma "Glaucoma Update Part I".
OSWB organised the One day Update on Glaucoma at the Hotel Golden Park on 26th July 2009 Sunday. The programme started at 10 AM. The erudite brigade of Glaucoma comprising Dr. L. Vijaya, Dr. B. Santha and Dr. Ronnie George from Sankara Nethralaya delivered seven lectures covering the whole Glaucoma before the compact hall of 72 participants. There were many from the districts as well as the neighboring state Assam. The topics were “Reframing Disease severity: Importance of Early Detection and Treatment”, “Clinical Points in Optic Nerve Head Assessment”, “Evaluating End Points: NEI Clinical Trials”, “Setting and Achieving Target IOP”, “Selecting Glaucoma Therapy”, “Comparative Drug Trials on Prostaglandin Analogues” and “Compliance to Glaucoma Medications and Role of Combination Therapy”. A video demonstration on Glaucoma Surgeries and discussion was at the post lunch session and before starting the Samir Biswas Memorial oration.
