Kenney made this QSO with W3BZE Tom Jones (K4JM) in Richmond, VA. at 2:30AM on the 80 meter band just hours before the Japanese attached our naval fleet in Pearl Harbor on December 7, 1941. Ham Radio as they knew it then was about to shut down during the WAR years of 1942 - 1945. Ham Radio then became a listening only mode.....
