Prato July 07
On this trip we've had the opportunity to use a whole array of words and phrases rarely needed before in our lives. These words include: breath-taking, astonishing, and awe inspiring. Over and over as we walk around Prato, we're just amazed. Everything is beautiful. Every door is unique, and most are a work of art. If we look a little bedraggled in these photos, it's because we are. The first night here, we went to Lapo, a small outdoor restaurant, with a group of 8. There Liz and I had several glasses too many of the table wine. I learned about half way through the meal, that the table wine is the worst we're likely to encounter in Italy, yet it was the best I've ever had. For food we had Pate, several kinds of Salami, Artichoke hearts, bread salad stuff, Bacon Panini, Tortelloni (amazing), rabbit, and, of course, wine. All for around 20 EU. Then we went to an outdoor lounge bar and had some Gelato (Tarfuno I think). By the way, you know how Florida has those 5 perfect days of weather
