LUNATIONS (2 Pieces) - These two pieces each contain 28 objects collected from the same area on daily walks for one moon cycle (or lunation).They are composed of 28 strips of the same map (as seen in the detail below) stained with native dyes, that have original moon phase drawings on them. Beneath the maps are layers of foam core. The found objects are embedded in each strip and everything is coated with many layers of acrylic. Each Piece $925 LEFT PIECE SOLD
LUNATION - 44" x 7" x 1 3/8" - This piece is composed of 28 strips of the same map. Each strip has an embedded object that was collected from the area of the map during daily walks taken for one moon cycle (or lunation). The maps are stained with native dyes, and have original moon phase drawings on them. Everything is coated with many layers of acrylic. This is part of a continuing series.
