BIOREGION - 16 x 20 x 1 - Topographical map copied on acid-free paper and stained with dye made from native tree bark. Map has been coated with many layers of acrylic to protect from sun and dirt. All objects in vials have been dried using borax/silica to prevent molding. Vials are held in place with wire, and can be removed. Found objects (from left to right): fern “fiddlehead”, Tualatin River water & rocks, insect wing, blackberry buds, ladybugs, buttercup, rainwater, heron claw, pine needles, maple “helicopters”, cow parsley seeds, Lake Oswego water, forget-me-nots, alder cones, 3 pieces of iron“slag”, dried berries, Willamette River water, feather, alder bark, leaf.
