UK Series - Norwich

Been to Jeet's place on one of the weekends... Spent the noon catching up with old stuff @ Nando's over Peri-Peri sauced Chicken :P and then set out to explore the place in the evening. UK Series - Diwali Gift

It was a quite Diwali night and I had just begun cooking my Dinner when my Srilankan neighbour came in and announced that there was 'ICE RAIN' outside!!! I looked out of the window and saw snow flakes falling... immediately entrusted the dinner preparation duties to Tarique and set out with my cam in tow. Had got drenched in rain on numerous occasions before...but this one was gonna be special...MY FIRST SNOW FALL... Didn't know if my cam would survive this 'exposure'...but still took the risk! :)

UK Series- The Wax Museum

T'was a cold rainy day in London and yours truly decided to brave the rains n venture out neways. Headed to Madame Tussauds thinking that it would be an ideal place to spend a few hours when the weather is all so wet! Little did i know that out of the few hours that I had planned at MT, I'll end up waiting for a couple of hours in a long winding queue outside!! Well... the wait helped me strike friendship with a few people in the queue. And in the end as it turned up...It was worth the wait :)...So here it goes - The Day When I was clicked the most. Phew!! Got tired of posing that day :P

UK Series - St Pauls, Buckingham

It was in Gol-Gumbaz, Bijapur during my trip to North Karnataka in 2007 that I heard about the Largest Dome structure - St Pauls Cathedral situated in London...Lil did I know then that i would be getting a chance to visit this magnificent monument so soon :) Too bad that photography isn't allowed within the Cathedral. Managed to capture some pics of the london skyline from the top of the dome. After a quick pit-stop at my relatives place, I resumed my shopping n sightseeing spree in the evening ...Been to Harrods n then Buckingham palace...Check them out

UK Series - British Museum, Trafalgar Square

Didn't take me time to realize my camera case was weighing a bit light that day.... had left the camera batteries charging back home! n There I was.... amidst 7 million artifacts... armed with a 2MP camera of my mobile phone... luved the exhibits..This place is at the top of my list of places to visit...If I get a chance to visit UK again Went to Trafalgar square in the evening for the Diwali Celebrations.... UK Series - Windsor Castle, London Eye

Windsor Castle was the first place I visited during my first weekend in UK. My cousin had advised me to keep at least 4 hours to cover the entire castle..... Even that turned out to be too less for me :)...Enjoyed the splendor n grandeur of the castle to the core.... Tarique was at his patient best that day.:P On the way back, we got down at Vauxhall and walked along the Thames to Waterloo.

In search of DSNR Fort

...had spotted remains of a fort close to Dilsukhnagar in Hyd road-map sometime back. An unscheduled break from work coupled with a challenge from a friend stayin in DSNR, who was of the opinion that there is no Fort in her locality meant that Yours truly had to set out with cam in tow in search of Fort remains... stumbled upon Paigah tombs on the way. The patterns on Paigah monument kept me captivated for the rest of the dusk. DSNR Fort will have to wait for the time being :)

Taste Of India -Warangal

Project work was taking its toll on our mind n body heart n soul(Visa Power ;P).... desperately needed a break..n thats when we planned this weekend getaway to Warangal.... yours truly was accompanied by Prash, Naru n Mallu boys Rakesh n Vaishak... The trip was quite an adventurous one... While Warangal turned out to be quite a neat city, our second stop Yeturunagaram was in contrast one of the most rural places i have ever been to...

In the wild

Was feeling really low, having spent a major part of the long Dassera weekend (2 out of 3 days) at office in a near empty campus... Thankfully, Jigar came to my rescue n planned a nature trip to a zoological park on the third day... laced with safari et all.... The gud ol' skandagiri team came together minus Prash plus Ekta...The flora n fauna was a welcome break from the black n green computer screen :)

Kerala Jaunt

The Ravine

Arv, Prash, Jigar, Amit n Yours truly had a rockin time in this trip to the outskirts of Bangalore! Cannot call it a 'Bangalore trip' coz we hardly spent anytime in the city apart from the area around Majestic bus stand. This album is a compilation of the first day of our wknd trip, when we had been to a place called Mekedatu - a ravine formed on the course of river Cauvery. Jungle Trek, Bus rooftop ride, Tokri ride, ravine watchin n wat not!... the first day of the trip itself had it all!!!! Taste of India - Pattadakal

Pattadakal, where the early Chalukyan Kings used to be crowned is one of the three great centres of Experimentation in temple construction, The other two being Aihole and Badami. The early Chalukyan sculptural art noted for its grace and vigour, rich imagination and delicate details is best represented here. Forgotten Tombs

Took my cam for a stroll to the Royal tombs of Qutubshahi Kingdom last weekend. T'was a nice n sunny evening until the heavens opened up. Had to take evasive action to shield my cam from the pourin rain...once that was taken care of....walked down to home sweet home in the heavy downpour.... got drenched from head to toe.... n though there was no one else in tow... enjoyed ma time to the core!
