On the outskirts of Harar, in the Ethiopian highlands, hyenas gather to eat raw meat from Mulugeta Wolde Mariam, "the hyena-man."
He sometimes holds the stick of meat in his mouth as the hyenas lunge forward to snatch away their dinner.
"There is no danger unless you are scared, as the hyenas sense fear," says Mulugeta.
