Thistle Junction Benchmark
I had planned on hiking to the Fifth Water hot springs, but the road up Diamond Fork Canyon was closed. Instead, I did this short (1.2-mile) hike to the Thistle Junction benchmark just off of US-6. This hill, or more precisely, the massive road cut through it, has intrigued me since I was a kid. Since I learned of the survey marker atop the hill several years ago, I've wanted to hike up to it.
