The project, in a nutshell: use HDR to document various light fixtures around campus.
?!? I know, right? A little off the wall...
The background: I have worked on campus at UT Austin for 14 years. These last 5 years or so have seen some major changes. In particular, the demolition of some old buildings and the construction of brand new ones. When they destroyed the old Experimental Science building, I just about cried...it was an interesting building to say the least! Now a sleek, new, state-of-the-art building stands in its place. Oh, it's a grand building, to be sure, but I don't see the little details as in its predecessor. It's those details that I want to capture...but that seems so broad. So I figured to focus on a singular detail: the light fixtures. There has been a rash of retrofitting to newer fixtures thorughout the years but a lot of the original fixtures are still in place, even if they have a CFL!
