Andrew's Arrival
We welcomed Andrew James McKanna into the world at 10:13 a.m. on August 7, 2006. Weighing in at 7 lb, 6 oz., and 20 1/4 inches long, with plenty of dark hair and dark eyes, he made a quite an entrance. You will probably notice the "stork bite" birth mark, the red splotch on his forehead with a corresponding one on the back of his head at the neck. It will disappear with time, as Jack's did (though his was lighter). Katie made it through the C-section just fine and will try to get some needed rest in these days at the hospital. Her parents and sister Liz are watching Jack this week, and they brought him for a visit in the afternoon. A tip o' the hat to Liz for some of these shots, and thanks to all of you for your prayers and expressions of encouragement and joy.
