Photos of the Al Mura elementary school takend during summer break as the staff was maintaining the facility. A modern school recently renovated, it has large classrooms and many amenities for the students. Operated by a contractor to the municipality, it was located in the center of a large residential area.
Other photos show the commercial area of the Hamden center, with architecture that is reminiscent of the Marin County Civic Center as designed by Frank Loyd Wright. The Marin Civic Center is a more elegant design, but the circulation pattern, the oval atriums and many other details are similar.
Other photos show a 3 star hotel Novotel ( a block from our offices) with a lobby that has couches by the same designer that Sharon admires, elegant marble and many fire safety features uncommon over here in buildings of this vintage.
