"Agree, modal Windows within a tab is a needed pattern. In fact, most of the current modal windows should not be globally modal but just within the tab from which it was open. Ismael"

"@Ismael: this application window is modal for the tab it is on, but it should be possible to switch between tabs while being in the middle of a quick pick action. This allows the user to look up business partners, products, orders etc without having to kill the quick-picking. Being able to do things in parallel makes a better experience but yes, it is a new design pattern and we should see if the trade-off effort/benefit is worth it. There is no reason to block other non-related tasks while quick-picking."

"Imo it is not needed to split into "add to Order" and "Add & Finish", I think it is overkilling. I think it is simpler and cleaner if the user can apply different filters and the lines "picked" are not removed from the grid when changing the filter. When the user has picked and edited all the lines she wants to add, she clicks the button "Add to Order" that finishes the flow. Again, I think it is simpler and more powerful."

"What about filtering by sales order attributes (eg. date, business partner, document number, etc.) instead of by the sales order? It would allow to show lines from different orders together, and would simplify the ui as well (these attributes can be added to the grid, and filter by them in the standard way)."

"I think it would be clearer (and easier) if editable columns switch to editable inputs when the line is selected, without waiting to get the focus (there should be a visual hint to make clear where the focus is). This way the sequence of the focus is clearer (it moves between editable inputs)."
