Haiti 2010
Haiti was once a wealthy French Colony based on slavery and the sugar and forestry industries On January 12, 2010 at 4:53 PM local time, an earthquake of 7.0 magnitude occurred. Current estimates place the number of deaths at nearly 230,000. On January 25, 2010 our group of 16 care providers arrived in Port-au-Prince. We were proceeded by fellow Coloradans Andy Mote, Ron Hugate, Jim Smith and many unknowns. We combined efforts with teams that had arrived independently and on their own to restablish care at the heavily damgaged CDTI hospital. So please contact me if you wish to use the photos other than for private viewing or sharing. After this experience, the people of Haiti are not sources of pity but examples for inspiration, respect, strength, faith, and humanity...please honor them
