Everyone calls this facility "Maui Raceway Park," except for the Maui County folks who are the HMFWIC here. (The facility's hours of operation, as shown on the sign, are not based on "reality," but who ever said that governmental bureaucracies have a clue about the "reality" of things?) BTW, Maui County Parks Department, "motorsports" is mo' bettah!.

The MRP facility was a WW2 Navy airfield (NAS Pu'unene), and these are some of the ammunition bunkers from that era. "...ammunition bunkers held two functional requirements; to protect the ammunition from outside attack, but equally to protect the base itself from the forces of the potentially volatile weapons."
