Kárpátalja
2009. július 6.-10. között jártunk Kárpátalján a II. Rákóczi Ferenc Főiskola meghívására. Magyar (és ukrán) pedagógusok továbbképzésén vettünk részt. Közben bejártuk a vidéket - vendéglátóink jóvoltából -, és barátságokat kötöttünk, elevenítettünk föl.
We payed a visit to Berehove, Ukraine (Beregszasz in Hungarian) and the vicinity in 6.-10. July 2009. It has a mixed population of Hungarians, Rutens, Ukrainiens, Romas (Gypsies). The College of Education in Berehove (named after the famous XVIII century freedom fighter, Ferenc Rakoczi) is the only state supported higher education institution outside of Hungary whith Hungarian as its "official" language of communication. Besides, we saw the heights and valley of Verecke, the place where, according to historians, the first Hungarian tribes arrived from the Eurasian steppe to the Carpathian basin.
