Here are Alex and Kala, the first place winners of the Spinnaker A fleet in the 2007 Outback Regatta held on Lake Murray near Columbia South Carolina.
This picture is of Viper #40 Kilroy with Alex and Kala, finishing first ahead of all other boats in the first race. The boat to the right is a non spinnaker boat that started seven minutes ahead of Kilroy. The boat on the left is a J24 Spinnaker boat who has yet to round the leward mark.
Here's a photo of the rest of the Viper fleet - this is as close as we got to Alex while on the water.
Notice how wonderfully large the sailing area is at CSC. This part of the lake is an approximate circle three miles in diameter.
