For windows download the update client. This client updates with your no-ip account to make sure it forwards to the correct ip address.
Once logged in click on Hosts/Redirects
Create a new host
create your name and select from one of the free domains
you can now see your dns host and that it is pointing ti your public ip address
let's open up remote desktop
type in our no-ip hostname we just created.
click start and click run and open the firewall.cpl
we see that the registry change did not update the firewall settings in windows so we must add a new port.
add the new port you created in the registry.
