The core IO-520E arrives.
I got a little help unloading it.
And it started coming apart.
And some of those parts got boxed up to be shipped to the machine shop.
And some stayed here to be sold or cleaned up and reused in the rebuild.
Some new baffles from Airforms in AK.
Some unneeded parts to sell from the 24 volt Barron engine.
And the O-470J comes off.
Parts awaiting Fed Ex.
Lee supervising as usual.
The headless 180.
The J engine ready to have it's induction and oil sump stripped to be installed on the IO-520E to make an O-470-50 via the P-Ponk STC.
The mighty Cessna 180 awaiting it's new power plant so it can take it trusty pilot to new places at the speed of light. :)
Overhauled exhaust with new O-520 flanges welded on.
Crank wit6h rods. Now we just need a crank gear.
Knopp tells me this tach drive won't work in the C180. Gotta rob yet another part from the O-470J.
That new crank gear heated to 300 degrees and dropped in place.
