After not checking a bag to save money, Christin barely squeaked by with two very full carry ons!
Early morning at the Indy airport.
Erin takes a snooze on the way to Cali.
Roomies on the way to Cali!
Check out the guy in the luggage cabin of the plane. Talk about a hot job!
Sarah, Erin, and Christin picking up our luggage in the San Diego airport.
Wiating for our rental shuttle to pick us up at the San Diego airport.

Erin and I in the front of the convertible.
A blur of the beautiful white building.
A better view.
The kayaking group we missed because we got lost in rush hour. Oops!
Locked inside a private marina. The gate was ajar so we walked right in not realizing it wasn't a public marina.
A man going to his boat let us out thankfully. Climbing over those barbed wires looked a little daunting!
Taking in Mission Beach.
This is one of my favorites! Leandra's walking into the ocean and if you look past her to the right you'll see a dolphin fin! I had no idea I captured the dolphin in the image until much later.
Christin and Leandra brave the cold water.
Almost sunset at Mission Beach.
My feet.
Leandra in the ocean.
Leandra's on the far left.
Kat is trying to sneak a picture of this interesting fellow without him noticing.
Kat, Sarah and Erin goofing off at dinner the night we arrived.

A view from our descent onto Blacks beach.
Me, Michelle, and Leandra prior to our hike down to Blacks beach.
Leandra looking cute!
The hike down.
Oh yeah, what comes down, must go back up. I know that's backward...but that's exactly what we had to do.
Once we reached the bottom we realized we'd found the only nudist beach in San Diego. We chose to keep our clothes on!
It was hard to see when taking pictures because of the sun...thus half of the life guard station in the lower left corner. They were very nice.
Another view of the cliff. It's known for its land slides and people have been hurt or killed by them in the past.
Check out the hang glyder! We saw a few of them land on the beach near us.
There's another hang glyder to the left of this pic.
This is the Mushroom House. There's an elevator that takes you to the top of the cliff where the real house is. This is just the beach house. It was built before there were rules against building on the beach.
My foot next to some ocean creatures and rock.
The sea gulls had a feast when we left our sun chips on the beach unattended. Mind you the bag was sealed but that didn't stop the birds.
Me, Michelle, and Leandra in Leandra and Kat's hotel room.
Here are the girls entering the San Diego Zoo. We spent a day there - it was amazing! So much space and the animals were very active.
A few monkeys.
It's the turtle tank!
Get ready, cause I got a lot of pics of turtles!
Look in the middle of this pic and a little to the left - you'll see a tiger.
It's feeding time!
Too bad the shade is hiding it so much. It looked quite interesting. Check out the next pic - it will give you a better idea of what it looks like.
The girls! From left to right, Michelle, Erin, Christin, Kat, Sarah.
A Red River Hog.
I don't know what this flower is...but I love it!
Boganvia - it was everywhere. I love this flowering bush too!
Just chillin'.
Erin feeds the giraffe.

A Merekat - so fun to watch!

Little lizard in the far left corner.
Don't these turtles look like rocks?
It's the tortugagirl.
And more turtles.
The sea lion show.
There were two women walking around dressed up as vines...weird.
An adorable koala!
Some strange bird!
That's the way to do it...exercise while you eat!

Picnic on Bird Beach!
Nothing better than a sunset on the ocean.
A sea gull eating squid...yummy!

A man fishing on a foggy Blacks Beach.
Michelle and Christin chat with a nice Indian couple we met on the hike.
Me and Stan. My co-worker, Diane, connected us with Stan (her second cousin). He was very a very helpful tour guide. Notice the mushroom house behind us...yup, we made it back there.
L to R: Kat, Michelle, Erin, Jamie, Sarah, Christin, Leandra (the whole crew!)
Being silly.
View from the bridge on our way to Coronado Island.
Another view on the way to the island.

Love the palm trees!
Me and Leandra standing next to the trunk of a HUGE palm tree.
In the Hotel Del Coronado courtyard.
This resort is in the top 10 around the world. I don't even want to think about how much it costs to stay there.
Yes, this resort has it's own ice cream shop! Perfect for a hot afternoon on the beach.
Raspberry chip ice cream...yummy!
Leandra nad Christin enjoy some MooTime icecream.
I love palm trees.
A view of the hotel from the beach.
It's huge!
Looks like they're setting up for a wedding on the beach.
I think I'd get lost in this resort if I stayed there.

A view of seal beach from a distance.
The seals were so much fun to watch slide up and down the beach.
Erin enjoys her drink!
Enjoying chips and salsa at the best Mexican Restaurant in Old Town, San Diego!
I loved my beef/guacamole enchelada!
Sizzling queso dip. It was so good with the homemade tortillas.
From L to R: Jamie, Christin, Leandra, Kat, and Erin at the Mexican Restaraunt.
This guy was digging through the trash cans at the gas station and collecting items in his cart. Couldn't resist taking a picture.
There he is again.
