Prejean's Restaurant at the 2010 Jazz Fest

Robert Guilbeau (“Bob” to some, “Biker-Bob” to others) and his friends built Prejean’s Restaurant on farmland passed down to him from his grandparents, Walter and Inez Prejean. The idea for what would become the world’s first Cajun-themed restaurant began back when Bob was working in the steam fields of California and now he's even taken it to the 2010 New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival

Vision for trendy cafe at Tulane and Broad becomes a reality: Liberty's Kitchen!@

The New Cafe and Coffee Shop on S. Broad St., Liberty's Kitchen, has a dual purpose - to help disadvantaged youth and to serve coffee and great food to Mid City Courts people: jurors, attorneys, law enforcement. Beginning from its first class start with several gala openings catering to its benefactors, Liberty now is fully in operation, with its first class of eager and appreciative students, going to their classes, serving tables, assisting in the food preparation.

Southern Combo Doubles at Mobile, AL

Rolex II, my Adult Men's Senior Men's Combo 6.5 Tennis team won the Louisiana Championship and went on to play the Sectional Championships in Mobile Alabama. Here are a few photos of the guys on the team, Grady McGrew's Girlfriend, Lorrie, and even Carla having fun in and around the tennis site and the Battleship Alabama where the player party Saturday night was held.

Gus and "Girlfriend"

My favorite dog is a Border Collie named "Girlfriend". Within a month of getting her, the whole family fell in love with her, and both Alex and Hunter resolved to get one. Alex got a mix named Kiki but Hunter got a purebread he named Gus - since he was born on the day of Hurricane Gustav. Now Gus and Girlfriend are best friends and we have observed what a true herder a "real" border collie is.

Red Dress Run and Red Dress Waterstop for the Mardi Gras Marathon

The New Orleans Hash House Harriers throw an annual Red Dress Run and sponsor a Red Dress Water Stop during the Mardi Gras Marathon. The 2008n RRR was a slightly wild Red Dress Run for the Hash House Harriers. The Hash is getting a bit over commercialized but I stilll enjoy seeing all these free spirits getting boozed up and having a lot of fun around famous New Orleans landmarks. Here are a few pictures

Martina Navrotilova at City Park

Okay, so maybe I'm fascinated by details, and enamored by celebrity status. I just admire people who have superlatives - who are the best at what they do. Martina is certainly one of those - whose name is a household word around the world. And I got to speak with her and delve a little into her character and personality and to talk close up pictures of her flaws. She's just an ordinary person who's generous with her time and celebrity to help others.

David and Girlfriend in Colorado

Well, I pulled it off, after dreaming about having my Border Collie up there in the mountains. From getting her on the plane, but worrying about letting her off leash, she was perfect and everything has worked out perfectly. We're simply having a ball, especially to have a Girlfriend who follows me everywhere, can climb the tallest mountains and swim the mightiest river, she's the one.

Night Moves - a respite from stress and turmoil, just out on the lakefront

Man, not only am I proud of my new boat lettering. Finally - progress as slowly issue after issue is resolved - through persistence. But I just can't say enough how even on hot days as the sun goes down, this is the ultimate relaxation. Racing on Wednesday nights is what I live for.

Broad Renovations - It was Hell, but at Least It's Over and Life is settling back to normal

After Hurricane Katrina, Life was Miserable. My poor Porsche was destroyed by flood water and my law building ruined on the ground floor. Without some hardworking Mexicans and my little white pickup truck, the place would have taken much longer to come back and cost much more - BUT AT LEAST IT'S FINISHED and we're making progress.
