from Brenda Crandall March 16, 2011 Mr. Smith Thanks for confirming me as a friend. I have very fond memories of school, because of you. You made each student feel that they meant something to you. You genuinely cared about each and everyone one of us. thank you for that. I am an Lpn currently working at medford rehabilatation. The job is great. Mr. Patterson is one of the obunsmun represenative for the residents there. Prior to working at medford rehab I worked at the jackson count jail for a couple years, boy that was an expierience. Before the jail I waorked at Providence hospital for 19 years. I have 2 nephews Frank and Fletcher they are Theresa's sons. I love them both very much. I have never been married and I have no children, but that is why I have my nephews, so I can spoil them. My Mom lives in Central Point, she is retired. My brother drives a semi truck, and he lives in Phoenix Oregon. Take care glad to hear you have lots of grandkids to spoil. Take care Brenda

Steven Lance Hamilton - fifth grade. Steve wandered into my classroom one afternoon after school and sat down dressed in red and white. In the 1970s boys tended to color coordinate their clothes. I was working with some photocopying so had my camera out. Steve was an outstanding kid and athlete. When he attended JV School in 3rd grade he was called Lance. When he moved back from Montana in fifth grade he was calling himself Steve. Then Steven Lance moved back to Montana for 6th grade and we lost contact with him. My twin brother, Larry Smith, has been teaching school since 1965...almost 45 years. He is still subbing. Over those years he took photos of his students and their activities. He has now scanned in the negatives, photos and slides from those years. He has organized the 6,460 photos into 27 Picasa albums. He hopes his former students will find these albums after he posts them on http://www.jvwoodlands.org To contact Larry Smith: jvsmith@clearwire.net To contact Lloyd Smith: Lsmithtwin@comcast.net

Brian Smith Steven Lance Hamilton 1979/80 Crater Lake National Park From Brian: The first time I met Steve, we went out for a bike ride. Steve had just moved to Jacksonville from Montana. Steve lost control while we were on our bikes and was injured. My Dad Larry practiced his first aid on Steve back at the school.

Rick Landis - bike accident From Cory Freeman Jan 13, 2012 Hi there Mr. Smith! It has been a very long time! I hear your name every once in a while from Christian Hamilton and others. Sounds like you are still extremely busy and very involved in the community. You have had a big impact on a lot of people's lives, mine included! Glad to hear that things are going so well for you. Everything is great in my world -- I have 2 great kids (boys 3 and 6) with my wife, Celina. . It's funny you mention art -- I actually started out at U of O taking a lot of art and sculpture classes, but switched my major to Finance. I have a great career that has taken me on a lot of adventures and have had some really exciting times. I still stay in touch with Christian Hamilton, Rob Hostick and Rick Landis. Rick owns a foreign auto repair business in Medford. I lost touch with Isaac Nicholson. The last I heard he was designing snowboard apparel for some European company. Anyway, so nice to hear from you! Take care!!
