Goldman Sachs 2009
For the second consecutive year, QSAC was selected as a beneficiary of the Goldman Sachs Community Teamwork (CTW) program. On Saturday, August 15, twelve Goldman Sachs employees descended upon the QSAC Day School in Whitestone and spent the day beautifying the hallways, bathroom, classrooms, and the gym. Joining them were staff members Lisa Veglia, Danièle Favre-Panayotatos, Mariann Lai, Daniel Nemeth, Erica Lester, Marissa Goldberg, Almando Cocar, Billy Naeves, and Miguel Sierra. Goldman Sachs also covered the cost of the paint and material used throughout the day with a generous grant of $2,090.
Every summer, Goldman Sachs grants one day off for each employee to volunteer in a team-based project for a local non-profit organization. The program reflects Goldman Sachs' dedication to supporting and honoring the communities where their employees work and live.
