We heard the sheep coming around the bend. We saw the car coming up the hill. We got the camera ready.

The Giralda tower, which was the minaret of the 12th century Moslem mosque. before the top 1/3 was added and the mosque was incorporated into the cathedral.
Seville is a city full of tile work. This is the city's crest, commemorating when they stood by the king during an insurrection ("You did not abandon me")

Our final stop in Spain was in the mountains of Sierra de Morena, north of Seville, near the border with Portugal. This was an area of cork trees and chestnut groves -- like this one where the chestnut harvest is underway.

We saw lots of wild mushrooms and found a great restaurant that specialized in them. This is one that probably was not on the menu.
