Norway, IL

We took a short vacation and visited Norway, Illinois. We stayed at Fox River Resort (by Silverleaf) using our Wyndham time share points. Judy had a couple of speakinng engagements in and near Montreal, so we drove up and stayed in a time share about 40 miles away. We visited the Mont Tremblant ski area and various sites in the city.

New Zealand, from Wellington north

Judy took a tour of libraries on the North Island of New Zealand in 2004. It started in Wellington, at the south end, and went up the west side of the island to Auckland, ending with a library conference. She stayed an extra day and took a tour north of Auckland to the Bay of Islands.

Two Weeks in Alaska--on Land and Sea

Our first all-digital vacation was to Alaska. We took an escorted Princess tour--one week on land (Anchorage, Denali, Fairbanks, and the North Slope) and one week on a cruise ship down the coast and through the Inside Passage to Vancouver.

Vacation near Vail, Colorado, 2007

Before a conference in Denver, we spent a week at a time-share in Avon, Colorado, just a few miles from Vail. We drover up Mt. Evans, found casinos to visit in Black Hawk, drove around Silver City, and toured a working gold mine near Idaho Springs.

New England, 2007

Our tour of New England: to see the fall colors and to complete Judy's visits to ALL 50 states. We started in Boston, then to Bar Harbor ME, on through NH and VT, then down through MA to Sturbridge Village, then to RI and back to Boston.

We drove from Las Vegas to Bryce Canyon and Zion National Parks in December 2007. Judy had never been to Utah before, so she could delte it from her ever-shrinking list of states not visited.

We took a tour to San Miguel de Allende, Guanajuato, Mexico. We flew into Guadalajara, visited the artist colony of Tlaquepaque, then took a bus to San Miguel. We also visited Guanajuato and Queretaro.

Germany (Stuttgart, Berlin, Braunschweig, and Frankfurt) and first visit to Lembach, France

Evelin Morgenstern again arranged for Judy to give workshops in Germany--this time in Stuttgart, Berlin, and Frankfurt. We bought a Mercedes in Stuttgart (with factory tour) and drove between cities. We also visited a colleague in Braunschweig, saw the famous Frankfurt Book Fair, and went to Lembach, France where Judy's great-great-great grandparents lived.
