Pontocho-dori, a street that runs along the river in Kyoto and offers restaurants and entertainment of all sorts.
Americans on the street corner! And 1 Frenchwoman. We traded stories for about 2 hrs...

On the left: Professor of English, Kyoto University, who seized the services of passing by English speakers. We edited about 50 - 100 entries in his forthcoming English-Japanese dictionary. Unfortunately, there were a lot of errors. He, however, was an incredible person.
If it's published, he's promised me an acknowledgement. So I'll be buying all new Japanese-English dictionaries from now on.

Thought the Dior building looked pretty snazzy...most of the major labels have some impressive buildings in this area. I think I'd be forgiven if I were to say that the Japanese have an expensive taste.
