We went from Oslo to London for one night. Then we took Ryan Air to Jerez de la Frontera. A perfect start!
We got a warm welcome at Jerez Airport. The security man shun like the sun when we said we came from Norway.
The is the race Car we rented.
Dad just finished fixing one of his bathrooms.
We needed something cold to drink. Whats more natural than poring down a beer or two at the nearest water hole.
My companion in travel (and in life).
Dinner the first night.
Dad did some construction work in the patio, and found an 800 year old wall. It was restored while we where down there. A bit noisy, but hey: 800 years old!
Very nice, dad thinks. I like it when it's smoothe...
Having dessert at the local ice cream bar.
Plaza Rivero.
We never travel without at least one computer.
Taking the Rental Race Car we went on a day trip all the way to Marbella. This is one of the white cities on the way over the mountain.
I bet he had to be scared from time to time. Scared to stone!
SMILE!
Nice view. To high up for me.
It was like staring the devil right in his eyes...
We came all teh way to Marbella for dinner. Bad timing. All the restaurantes was closed for siesta. Bummer.
The driver and the car. Two of a kind... oh well...
This is a mystory. We found out that the lake was man made, but what's with the greenish water?
This how we knew it was man made.
An other small town. Just as closed as Marbella. We settled with two cokes.
Thsi is the owner of Casa JerezAna, and his lady friend.
And this is his son. 10% of the budget went into this parking ticket machine.
Oh dear! Relax... it's not really there. Is it?
San Lucar de Barrameda. We went there for dinner. If your'e looking for good fish. This is the place.
That's fønny. They use the Norwegian character "ø" (oslash).
Then we went to... Africa! Morocco, Tarifa.
Close to the ferry port.
All the people in front of us are from the same group.
We had lunch here.
Happy chaps, right.
They really, really, really! REALLY! tried to sell us some carpets.
It's mom's shopping list for the weekend.
I'm very glad we joined a guided group. Imagine walking around alone.
The man to the left was our guide. Mr. Sharif.
Poor bastard. He had to carry people around all day. In the sun.
This is Tarifas sunny side. Or, sunnier side.
It's time to leave Tarifa.
Just waiting to leave the ferry.
Alomst home. It's late at night and we are hungry! We got some food ten to elleven to minutes away from the house.
It's not like we haven't been to any bodegas before. We wanted to buy a gift, so we went to Gonzales Byass.
The symbol of southern Spain.
He's a really bully, this one.
The gift.
My girl on the roof. The church San Marcos behind. Thank God (!) it's not ringing anymore.
Plaza San Marcos
A really nice Wok restaurant just outside down town.
The church at night. Just a tiny bit spooky.
The alley behind the house at night.
This is the house pet: "Reptile Kyrre"
And we are leaving. We have some really good memories from Jerez de la Frontera.
