A cow! Hannover was full of lots of public art. Although I doubt this one was commisioned by the city, it was still cool!
Cool reflection
Herrenhauser Garten (sp?). This is one of the pathes leading up to the garden, which was amazing. I visited it twice while I was there, and would have gone back a third time if I had had time.
Atila, Tecom's general manager (well atleast that's the title he used for the fair)
Hassan, Tecom's plant manager, and technical director. He's the guy that knows about compressors.
Laying the carpet. Alper turned out to be a master carpet layer.
Alper and I built the front table upside down! Actually, it was reversible. When we realized it was upside down, we decided it was funny and to leave it that way. We righted it for the fair.
Lunch! I couldn't eat any of it because it was McDonald's and I have a bet with Otto (my Finnish friend) that prevents me from eating McDonald's
Me passed out after laying lots of carpet, and moving a lot of compressors.
Our stand!
Another angle. Turkey was the partner country of this fair. The Turkish Chamber of Commerce is in the background of this picture.
Murat.
First night out together at the Brew House. From the left: Murat, Me, Alper (purchasing manager), Hassan and Atila. I convinced everyone to try Beef Goulash, which they all loved. They ate the same thing the following night.
The next night, same place, more Turks. We were joined by some of our distributors in Turkey, as well as three members of our sister company, Arcom, which sells high pressure compressors.
If you could see the suspenders, you would understand why I was Tecom's best dressed this day.
Alper! He's our purchasing manager. His English got better and better as the fair went on. I also taught him some American slang and gestures.
Me tooling on my laptop. Probably trying to get the buggy races to play.
A competitor's stand. Yeah, it's way better than ours.
One of our supplier's stands. Yeah, it's way better than ours.
This stand had amazing cappucino. I kept dropping in for cappucino and eventually ended up sitting down with one of their upper level managers for 30-40 minutes just shooting the shit.
Our team. From Left: Alper, Shakir (from Arcom), Ismael (from Arcom), Ahmet (from Arcom), Atila, Hassan, Yasemin (the hostess we hired in Germany), Me, Murat
Taking everything down.
