These photos were taken by Anthony Weir mostly in the 1970s and early 1980s; the more recent ones (after 2000 BCE) were taken by Tom FourWinds.
Sweathouses occur mainly in the north-central counties: Roscommon, Leitrim, NW Cavan, Fermanagh, Tyrone, though there are 'outliers' in Antrim, Louth, Wicklow, Tipperary, Galway and even Cork.
