Torreys from the south ridge of Kelso with a full moon over the summit. The Lost Rat and Dead Dog Couloirs are visible.
Near the summit of mellow Kelso.
Grays and Torreys from Kelso. The S shaped ridge on Torreys is Kelso Ridge.
Grizzly and Cupid with the shadow of Kelso below.
Looking up Kelso Ridge from near the beginning of the route.
The first crux is a class 3 chimney that was nice and solid.
I skirted below this white buttress and got on some loose stuff.
The first third of the ridge.
I could hear all of the people on the standard Grays Peak trail below. I count 16 people on this short section of trail!
The middle section of Kelso Ridge is mellows out to class 2.
Looking down about halfway up.
Nearing the crux of Kelso Ridge, a short knife edge at the top of Dead Dog Couloir.
Approaching the crux.

Sharing the summit with ~75 of my closest friends.
On to Ruby! The south ridge of Grays is rarely climbed and was a lot of fun, mostly class 3 skirting a few buttresses.
I descended this gully and sidehilled back to the ridge on my way down.
Ruby from near the saddle. The summit is on the far right.
Nearing the summit of Ruby.
Lenawee and the Elks beyond.
The rugged south side of Grays. I like this side better!
Back up the ridge we go.
Looking down the ridge about halfway up. I backed off this spot going down, but felt comfortable going up.
Back on the Grays Peak trail I ran into these guys. They're having a bad hair day.
Wish I was nimble on rock as these bad boys!
Torreys looking mighty dapper in the late afternoon light.
Plenty of wildflowers along the trail in Stephens Gulch.
